Chartered in 1949, Pipeliners Local Union 798 is a trade union that provides the highest quality pipeline Welders to contractors across the country. Pipeliners Local Union 798 represents individuals with a high skill level who weld together the various sections of oil and gas pipelines.
In addition to the nearly 2,800 skilled Welders who are a part of Pipeliners Local Union 798, we also represent nearly 600 Journeymen Spacers who assist in lining up the pipe and completing the hydrostatic testing of the pipeline and nearly 2,700 Helpers who assist the Welders in the weld completion process. These tasks are critical to the integrity of the pipeline and the safety surrounding the project.
As a trade union, our members are required to meet the highest level of training and take great pride in their work’s quality and safety. Pipeliners Local Union 798 members have worked on projects in 49 states and various countries across the globe.
